Cremorne Guzzle: Six founders, Six Asks and a Community That Shows Up

· By Angelica Alinsod · 3 min read

Last week we wrap on our fourth Cremorne Guzzle of 2026. Melbourne's founder community filled the Hub once again for cold drinks, good conversation and the kind of connections that carry on long after the night ends.

This Guzzles, the formula hasn't changed, and we don't want it to. Founders meet, swap notes on what they're building and share their stories. Then, once the room has warmed up, a handful founders take the floor for Founder Asks to say what they need and trust the community to help.

This round, six founders stepped up. Their asks ranged from mentors and GPs to pilot couples and, yes, one bedroom air conditioner. Every one of them was a reminder of why we run this thing. An ecosystem works when people are willing to ask, and others are willing to answer.

Why it keeps working

A founder, their logo on the screen, and a room full of people who might know exactly who they need. That's it and its enough.

That's the power of building and connecting. When you say plainly what you're working on and what's in your way, you give people a reason to help. Four events into the year, we keep seeing the same thing, an ask goes out, someone puts their hand up, and a conversation starts that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

The Founder Asks

Each founder had a chance to tell the room who they are, what they're building and what they need. The conversation doesn't stop when the drinks run out, so here's who asked and how you can help:

  • Jonathan O'Hara, Fotomigo
Fotomigo makes flat-fee documentaries of family life from a family's own photos and videos. Jonathan is looking for three families who'd like a documentary made, ready to share this Christmas.
  • Sughra Shah Bukhari, Selene
Selene is a women's health startup helping women get a PMOS diagnosis faster through telehealth. Sughra is after two introductions: GPs fully registered in Victoria with an interest in women's health who already offer telehealth, to see Selene's founding members; and women who suspect they have PMOS and are still waiting for answers, to join the founding pilot. Places are open now.
  • Colin David, All in Skills
All in Skills matches early-career people with mentors who have 20+ years in their field. With pilots already running, Colin needs more experienced professionals to keep up with demand. If you have 20+ years under your belt and can spare an hour or two as an Expert, or know someone who can, get in touch.
  • Millie Marconi, TestFeed
Introducing TestFeed which is a VC-backed AI audience research platform.
  • Jamie Williamson, Tailored Agents
Jamie is building a productivity and to-do app that helps people get more done. Jamie's ask got the biggest laugh of the night: an angel investor willing to fund a bedroom air conditioner, for better sleep and, presumably, better output. Anyone who's tried to build through a Melbourne summer night will understand.
  • Kim Pearce, peek
peek helps couples keep their connection alive and is recruiting for its next pilot. Kim is looking for couples to take part, plus warm intros to influencers in your network who share about parenting, relationships or marriage.
